Today I chose to be disappointed

in people

dis illusioned 

dropped all filters

saw simply 

the shortcomings, the strengths

accepted

and loved and distanced

hugged

and lived on

Wind brings you down

Ah, duality of life - 

grab it's rope

and go fly

Through a slit between the eyelids

I spy 

on this play of thoughts and life

Is this me looking out or in?

I accept

that there's war

suffering, unjustness

disconnect & imperfection

planets falling

broken hearts...

I stop running and I breathe:

"I so love our differences"

Now I look you in the eye

and accept it all
